I’ve always loved the immune system, and how it protects us from disease. So that was my favourite topic at school.
I also liked the topics in chemistry that involved explosions. My chemistry teacher was notorious for getting kicked out of labs for setting fire to things. Which was always fun!
The thing that fascinates me the most is the brain and how drugs that work in the brain, even though tye are just small chemicals, can change the way we perceive the world (see, hear things). This was the thing that first got me interested in pharmacology (the study of how drugs work) – and I still think it’s amazing now.
