I agree with Neil. We use genetic engineering in the lab all the time for experiments. There are some great examples of how it is being used in patients already for cancer therapies and is being trialled to cure some kinds of blindness for instance. I know less about genetically modified food, but completely agree that done safely and responsibly it could potentially solve all sorts of issues – particularly those that might be caused by climate change. What we also need to remember is that nature does genetic engineering ALL the time!
