Bragging rights, or a warm and fuzzy feeling.
The scientist who wins overall wins £500 to use for schools or public engagement. If I were to win I would buy equipment so I can do experiments with schools again and don’t need the classes to buy anything. This is important because a lot of the schools I work with don’t have much funding.
I don’t think we win anything… just the satisfaction of a job well done 🙂 It’s the overall winner at the end of the month who would win a £500 prize to go towards their outreach activity. Please anyone do let me know if I’m wrong on this!
No money for the weekly wins as far as I know – we might get a mug? Or that might just be the overall winner? I’m not really sure. But yes the overall prize is £500 to do any public engagement activity we like, which is cool 🙂
